Disc Bulge/herniation Therapy
When a particular muscle is not doing its job correctly, we call that inhibition. Other parts of the body begin to pick up the slack for the inhibited muscle, which over stresses those other areas. This condition is called altered motor control. It can result from many factors, including frequent sitting, sedentary lifestyle, poor postural habits and previous injury. The undue tension put on over-stressed muscles often leads to pain and injury. We design corrective exercises to curb altered motor control by stimulating the inhibited muscle(s) in functional, efficient patterns used in sports and everyday activities. Essentially, we work with patients to increase their performance while decreasing their risk for injury.
