Dr. Matt Meehan
Born and raised in Lowellville, OH, (a small town located outside of Youngstown), Dr. Matt Meehan was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of nine, a sickness that has since gone into remission. Dr. Matt knew his purpose in life was to help others by becoming a doctor.
He graduated from Lowellville High School in 2002 at the top of his class, and then went on to study Biology at Youngstown State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Bachelors degree. It was during his studies at YSU that Dr. Matt chose to focus on Chiropractic. After speaking with a few medical doctors it seemed to him that they were generally unsatisfied in their professions and in the lack of results their patients experienced. Chiropractors, however, seemed fully satisfied in their ability to help the body naturally heal itself and with the results their patients experienced. This in mind, Dr. Matt traveled to the birthplace of Chiropractic, Davenport, lowa, and studied at the famed Palmer College of Chiropractic where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and received his doctorate in 2010. He has been practicing in the Akron area since January 2011.
Dr. Matt became an athlete at CrossFit Akron after his girlfriend introduced him to the sport in May 2012. When he was approached with the opportunity to become Primal Chiropractic’s initial Chiropractor he jumped at the chance to treat and educate not only the athletes but the surrounding community as well.
